MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through Kindergarten. It is an international organization with groups meeting in churches throughout the United States, Canada, and 19 other countries. The purpose of MOPS is to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us as we share and explore the adventures of motherhood! We will come together to celebrate this special season of our lives and to grow both emotionally and spiritually.
Community: Creating an accepting atmosphere where moms can come together to share in this important season of life.
Mentoring: Mentor moms are a blessing to our group by sharing their wisdom and experience of mothering. They provide encouragement and a unique perspective, offering a listening ear, and practical ways young moms can find fulfillment in their rolls as mother, wife and friend.
Practical Instruction: Teachings by MOPS mentors and outside speakers focus on celebrating motherhood, relevant truths, and the unique needs of a mother.
Discussion Groups: The intimate and accepting atmosphere of a small group offers moms a chance to share their successes, questions, and concerns. It is during these times that a mom realizes that she is not alone and lifelong friendships are formed.
MOPPETS: During our MOPS groups, children are taught and cared for in a program designed just for them. They may sing songs, do a craft, hear a story, interact, and play with other children and always experience love in a preschool-like setting.
Leadership Development: Our MOPS groups is led by mothers of preschoolers for mothers of preschoolers. MOPS provides opportunities for women to gain confidence in their leadership skills through training and experience they receive from their MOPS group and MOPS International.
